Terms and Conditions – Lift-Up Stair Storage
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use, purchase, installation, and maintenance of lift-up stair storage systems (“Products”) provided by YSW Interiors (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing our website, requesting a quote, or purchasing our Products, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Product Description
Our lift-up stair storage systems are custom or semi-custom built solutions designed to fit beneath staircases. While we make every effort to ensure accuracy in design, measurements, and specifications, all Products are subject to practical limitations based on the property structure.

3. Quotes and Orders
All quotes are valid for a limited period as specified in the quotation. Orders are only confirmed once a deposit or full payment is received.
Any changes requested after order confirmation may incur additional charges and delays.
4. Measurements and Installation
Customers are responsible for ensuring access to the property and accurate initial information unless a professional survey is conducted by us.
Where we conduct measurements, we accept responsibility for accuracy; however, structural irregularities or hidden issues (e.g., wiring, plumbing, uneven surfaces) may impact installation.
Installation dates are estimates and may be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.
5. Customer Responsibilities
Ensure the installation area is clear and accessible.
Notify us in advance of any known structural or environmental issues. Obtain any necessary permissions (e.g., landlord consent, building approvals).
6. Use of Products
Products are intended for general storage purposes only. Maximum weight limits, if specified, must not be exceeded. We are not liable for damage caused by misuse, overloading, or modification of the Product.
7. Safety Disclaimer
Lift-up mechanisms must be operated according to provided instructions. Children should not operate the system unsupervised. We are not responsible for injuries resulting from improper use, tampering, or failure to follow guidance.
8. Payment Terms
Payment terms will be outlined in the quotation or invoice.Late payments may result in delays, cancellation, or additional fees. Deposits are non-refundable except where required by law.
9. Cancellations and Refunds
Orders for custom Products may not be cancelled once manufacturing has begun.
Refunds are provided at our discretion unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws.
10. Warranty
We provide a limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship for a specified period.
Our 25 year guarantee is for properties built after 1990 and covers the gas piston only - we will replace free of charge if you have any issues or we can send a simple video showing you how to replace
The warranty does not cover:
Normal wear and tear
Damage due to misuse or not following usage instructions
Alterations or repairs carried out by third parties
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of use, profit, or property damage. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the Product.
12. Property Damage
While reasonable care is taken during installation, minor cosmetic damage (e.g., scuffs, minor plaster cracks) may occur and shall not be considered negligence. We are not responsible for pre-existing structural weaknesses or concealed defects.
13. Intellectual Property
All designs, drawings, and concepts provided remain our intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing.
14. Privacy
Any personal information collected will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
15. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, supply chain disruptions, or labor shortages.
16. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of [Jurisdiction], and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that location.
